Youth Volunteering at Missions Thrift Store

Today (July 26, 2025), between 10:00 AM and 12:00 noon, the RTPTCA youth volunteering group—consisting of 12 volunteers and 4 chaperones—visited the Missions Thrift Store at 2721 E Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, NC 27614. This organization is involved in various charitable activities.

We spent two hours sorting and organizing clothes. Our group was divided into three teams to separate usable clothes from those that were not, and to categorize them into men’s and women’s clothing.

We were joyfully engaged in this task, and through this experience, we gained a deeper appreciation for the value and impact of charity.

Thank you to all the volunteers and chaperones for your contribution, and a special thanks to the organizers for involving us in this meaningful activity.

We are thrilled to share the incredible success of our most recent Amys Ray of Sunshine Card Drive, which wrapped up this past July 2025. Thanks to the generosity and compassion of our community, we were able to collect 250 heartfelt cards to cancer patients. From hand-drawn cards by RTPTCA youth and adults, each card carried a message of hope, encouragement, and love. The outpouring of support was overwhelming—and deeply moving.

We delivered the collected cards to cancer patients on July 20, 2025. Thank you!

Here are few pics from our card drive.
