to help the people at Habitat for Humanity.

Our Impact
We are trying to help Habitat for Humanity make gifts for
people who purchase Habitat homes.
At Habitat for Humanity, we learned how to paint and sand wood.
These skills can make an impact because we can use them at home
and in other places where they are needed.
What We Did at Habitat for Humanity
We arrived at Habitat for Humanity at 9:00 AM and waited for the
rest of the group to join us. As everyone arrived, some people
needed to sign the waiver.
After everyone signed the waiver, nine youth volunteers and two
parent volunteers went into the warehouse. We painted wooden
planks in green and pink. We applied second coats to some of the
planks, and for a few, we had to apply two full coats.
We also sanded some of the planks to remove sharp edges and make
them smooth and free of splinters.
We made gift cards for the people who purchased Habitat homes.
We also painted shoe racks and a few more wooden planks.
There were welcome boards that we painted white using stencils.
These boards were gifts for the new homeowners.
for Humanity. It was a great experience that allowed us to help
others while learning valuable skills.
